The main import of the country is rice, spices, sugar, meat items, apple and fruits etc and the main export is tea, jute, mustard oil, Alainchi etc. The border of the country is not similar and the transport facility is not so good from one place to another. So, there are many difficulties to transfer goods from one place the another place of the own country. So the local people of the border sales and purchase good like an exchange because of free border with India. ネパール写真

Challenges of Nepalese agriculture

i ) Traditional farming system(no any utilization of tools and technologies) : Almost all Nepali farmers are adopting traditional farming system. They are following the same farming system which our ancestors’ deed.

ii ) Farming  for  living purpose(not for the business purpose) : Most of the farmers of Nepal are from rural part of country and they are growing what is essential for their daily life. They are growing the most essential items like rice, corn, vegetables etc which they feel safe for their daily food itme rather than selling purpose.

iii ) Generalizations of farming (not specification of the production)

iv ) Excessive use of pesticides

v ) Lack of education, knowledge and training and lack of support from the government side : due to the illiteracy, and the lack of opportunity of getting in formations, farmers are  compelling to continue the traditional farming system. Because of lack of prosperity of the country and poverty of the country and farmers, farmers are not able to get training and information.

vi ) Lack of manpower : Most of the young people are working outside the country like Middle East, Australian, Japan etc for study and work purpose. As they leave the country, farming is facing lack of working human resources
